A variety of non-native, invasive plants (NNIs) are present in Montgomery County Parks. These plants can take over an area quickly and threaten our native plant and wildlife communities.

Certified Weed Warrior Volunteers help control NNIs on Montgomery Parkland through manual management techniques. This work is physical, but it is also very rewarding and can have a significant impact on local ecosystems.

To become a Certified Weed Warrior Volunteer (and be authorized to remove NNIs anywhere on Montgomery Parks property on your own schedule), you will need to complete online and in-person trainings.

**Please note: if the "Schedule" tab is missing, that means registration is full for all Weed Warrior In-Person Trainings. Please check back soon for additional opportunities.** For questions, please contact MCP-WeedWarriors@montgomeryparks.org.
