Do you enjoy working with people and sharing your love of nature? Nature center hosts serve as front line representatives!

They welcome visitors, provide information, assist park naturalists with projects, and enjoy helping guests learn more about Wheaton Regional Park and Brookside Nature Center.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who likes to be helpful and enjoys interacting with others!

Job type: Seasonal (2-6 months), Long-term (6 months+)

Volunteer type:  Adult, Senior (55+), Student Service Learning

Duties and responsibilities:
1. Greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
2. Learn and communicate effectively about program offerings and park resources.
3. Correctly answer visitor inquiries or direct them to appropriate staff.
4. Promptly answer telephone calls and take messages for staff when needed.
6. Assist with office administrative work, computer work, and program/exhibit preparation as needed.
7. Direct and check-in nature program participants.
