Thanks for thinking of Montgomery Parks as a place for your Eagle Scout project!

We often have ideas for potential Eagle projects, but the number of Eagle Scout candidates far outnumbers them. We often require the scout to seek out a suitable project and suggest it to us.

Choose a park location that is convenient to you and explore the area to see which amenities you can help create or restore. Park staff will work with you to review your project proposal prior to approval.

We are looking for scouts that are good communicators, can stick to a schedule and are hard workers!

Description

Oakley Cabin is opening up for its annual "Heritage Days" program! On this day, visitors will get on their feet to dance and sing with professional musicians, enjoy special tours and hands on activities, learn from storyteller Sheila Arnold, and play games for kids of all ages!

We are looking for volunteers to:

• Help set up and break down the event site.


• Greet and guide guests to activities


• Help staff as needed

Please arrive by 10:30 am. Volunteers should be dropped off at the cabin. Parking is offsite.

Free event parking is located at 19801 Georgia Ave, Brookeville MD 20832. Shuttle service will be provided to and from Oakley Cabin from 11:30-4:30.
